Answer:

16 = 7 and 17 = 9 because the number of letters in the spelling sixteen is 7 and those of seventeen is 9.

Answer:

This completely stomped me at first glance. I’ve never came across such an obscure math problem. Took me minute to find out what was really going on here. That is, until i took a closer look at “4=4”

Not entirely sure what told me (at the moment) but every English speaking person ought to know that there are in fact 4 letters in the word “four”

F-O-U-R… same as for the rest of the numbers listed in the question. 60, for example, S-I-X-T-Y. see? there are “five” letters in the word “sixty” sooo…. 60=5 right?

ok, the final answers!!

16=7

17=9
