»Given Question:

If  3x + 5y = 11 and  xy = 2 , find the value of  9x² + 25y²

Let's Solve!!

We have:

 3x + 5y = (3x)² + 2(3x)(5y) + (5y)²

 \implies{(3x + 5y)² = 9x² + 30xy + 25y²}

 \implies{9x² + 25y² = (3x + 5y)² - 30xy}

 \implies{9x² + 25y² = 11² - 30 × 2}

Since,  3x + 5y = 11 \: \& \: xy = 2

 \implies{9x² + 25y² = 121 - 60}

 \implies{9x² + 25y² = 61}

Hence, the value of  9x² + 25y² = 61
