Quantum theory is a theory concerning the behaviour of physical systems based on Planck's idea that they can only possess certain properties, such as energy and angular momentum, in discrete amounts (quanta). The theory later developed in several equivalent mathematical forms based on De Broglie's theory and on the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.

✴⚫☛QUANTUM THEORY IS actually the theory of any objects isolated from their surroundings but, because it is very difficult to isolate large objects from their environments, it essentially becomes a theory of the microscopic world of atoms
✴⚫☛especially true for those parts of the theory which rely on the absolute indistinguishability of fundamental PARTICLES .

✴⚫☛atoms could only emit energy in fixed units called quanta. The theory has been developed to explain the behavior of particles and the energy they emit.
