Can you give some more examples in your daily life where scale factor is used
Answers
To understand where do we use scale factor in daily life, lets look what scale factor is:
The scale factor is the ratio of the length of a side of one image to the length of the corresponding side of the other image.
Where do we use scale factor in real life.
1. If you are an architect and you have a floor plan for the building to be constructed, well obviously we do not need to make a large model for that, what we do is we represent the floor plan on the drawing sheet which is called scale drawing where sometimes we refer 1 cm = 2 feet maybe depending upon our scaling.
2. We also use scale factor on maps. Like we represent 1000 miles by 1 centimeters.
3. While building a miniature model of for an estimation we use scaling.
And there could be many more like that, wherever two models are similar we can use scale drawing.
