Given :

  • Slant height of conical patio umbrella = 1.5 m
  • Rasis of conical patio umbrella = 2.1 m

To find :

Quantity of Fabric used

Formula used :

Curved surface area of cone = πrl

Here

  • r = radius of base of cone
  • l = slant height of cone

Solution :

Here , amount of fabric used will be equal to curved surface area of conical patio umbrella.

CSA of conical patio umbrella = π ×(2.1m) ×1.5m

CSA of conical patio umbrella = (22/7) × 2.1 × 1.5m²

CSA of conical patio umbrella = 22×1.5 × (2.1/7) m²

CSA of conical patio umbrella = 33 × 0.3 m²

CSA of conical patio umbrella = 9.9 m²

Therefore amount of fabric used = 9.9

ANSWER : 9.9

To find :-

\\

\large\underline{\frak{As \: we \: know \: that,}}

  • Find the quantity of the fabric used

\\

\large\dag Formula Used :

  • \boxed{\bf{Curved~surface~area~of~cone~=~πrl}}

❍ r = radius of the base of the cone

❍ l = Slant height of the cone

\\

Solution :-

\\

  • Amount of fabric used will be equal to curved surface area of colonial patio umbrella.

\\

\boxed{\bf{\mid{\overline{\underline{\green{\star\: CSA ~of ~colonial~ patio ~umbrella \: }}}}}\mid}\\\\

:\implies{\sf{π~×~(2.1m)~×~1.5m}}

\\

~~~~~:\implies= \large{\sf{ \frac{(22)}{7}  \times 2.1 \times 1.5m²}}
\\
~~~~~~~~~~:\implies{\sf{22 \times 1.5 \times  \frac{22}{7} {m}^{2}}}

\\

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:\implies33 × 0.3m²
