Here is some error in equation last one value is +1 then
m+1/m= 3
m^2+1 =3m
M^2-3m +1
Then apply shridharacharya formula
==> X = [-b +√ (b^2 -4ac)] /2a
Then putting the value
Here
B= -3, a= 1, c= 1
=> [ 3 + √(-3)^2 - 4×1×1] /2×1
==> [3 + √(9-4)] / 2
==> (3 + √5)/2
Hope it's right
