so, \frac{AD^2}{(AD + DB)^2}  = \frac{3^2}{8^2} = \frac{9}{64}

ii) \frac{area-of-trapezium BCDE}{area-of-triangle ABC} = \frac{area-of-triangle ABC - area-of-triangle ADE}{area-of-triangle ABC} = \frac{64-9}{64}

= \frac{55}{64}
