Standard Form:A polynomial is in standard form when its term of highest degree is first, its term of 2nd highest is 2nd etc.

Examples: x^2+x+3

Degree of polynomial: The highest exponent is the degree of the polynomial.

Examples: 4x^3+3x^2+x^1+6x

So the degree =3 because it is the highest exponent

Coefficient forms: The number used to multiply a variable.

Examples:4x+x+ 3x

The coefficient of x are 4,1and3.

Index forms:The index of a number says how many times to use the number in a multiplication. It is written as a small number to the right and above the base number. The other names for index are exponent or power.

Examples: 4x^3

Here 3 is the index or power
