(i) f(x) =2x2-7x+1 ; x= - 3

f(x) =2(-3)square - 7(-3)+1

=2(9)+21+1

=18+22

= 40

p(x)=(x+2)(x+3) This is a quadratic polynomial . It has two zeroes .

Let P(x)=0

⇒(x+2)(x+3)=0

⇒x+2=0,x+3=0

⇒x=−2,x=−3

∴ The zeroes of the polynomial are

−2 and −3.
