Plastid and Mitochondria are 2 cell organelles that have their own genetic material.

Here the genetic material is DNA.

Plastid is present in plant cell only.

Now I will tell you the reason why only these 2 organelles have their own DNA.

It is done because they have the most complex functions inside cell. Like mitochondria provide us energy for which undergo various process due to which it need it's genetic material.

Plastid is kitchen of the plant cell which is divided into 3 types

Chloroplast

Chromoplast

Leucolplast

Due to this different types and storage systems it has been provided their own gentic material.
