He could bring rains by singing Raag Megh Malhar and light lamps by singing Raag Deepak.
He could also calm down wild animals with his classical ragas.
Tansen was a musician, vocalist, instrumentalist and a composer, also known as the founder of North Indian gharana of Indian music.

Born in 1506, Gwalior, he was one of the nine jewels of Akbar’s court.
He was bestowed with an unusual musical skill and is said to have had the power to create rain and power when he sang.
Tansen was honoured with the title ‘Miyan’ by Emperor Akbar and thus came to be known as ‘Miyan Tansen’
