As the term suggests, green conservation means conserving the greenery; the trees and the entire plantation around us. It is common sense that it is not easy to survive without the help of the plants and the trees around us but still we need to make a few individuals understand again and again about the significance of green conservation.

Our very survival is dependent on the protection of trees because oxygen is provided by the trees along with inhaling carbon- dioxide. Trees are actually the most selfless living beings that survive on Earth. They serve all the living- beings without asking for anything in return.

Human beings on the other hand instead of appraising this quality are only involved in using the trees to fulfil their own interests. Yes it is true that there are people who even sacrificed their lives in green conservation such as those involved in the Chipko Movement. These people should be considered as our idols if we want to understand the true significance of Green conservation. Preserving the forests is what is extremely essential

Burning down the forests, cutting down the trees or deforestation is visible more and more now- a- days because of the setting up of new industries and growth of population. Not only are trees burnt down but thousands of wild animals are killed in the horrendous task of burning of the forests.

The natural cycle is affected by deforestation and furthermore devastated with the wild animals which are molested to death with the never- ending fire. All the living beings need trees in order to survive, but most of us fail to realize the fact. We should in-fact be thankful to our fore- fathers who planted so many trees that we can live happily today.

Instead of being self- centred, we should plant trees for our coming generations. In this 4-G world, we should use less and less paper thus using more and more electronic equipments to conduct our day to day activities. For example; we do not need to print our e- tickets while travelling.

A message on the cell- phone is enough evidence along with our identity- cards. At least 3 lakh papers can be saved every day if print- outs of the e- tickets are avoided. It is also essential to make the children understand to use as little space in their notebooks as possible because when an individual is taught something whether good or bad during childhood, he or she adapts it as a habit.
