Explanation:

because liquid has less molecules than solid has

in liquid molecules can move freely as they have space for movements but solid molecules does not has space to move they are attached to each other. so liquid can easily take shape of vessels and solids cannot

Ques 1.] Why do liquids flow and not the solids ?

Ans.] Due to the large intermolecular forces, the intermolecular attractions are very less and thus liquids and gases can flow. On the other hand, solids have very less intermolecular spaces. The intermolecular forces are high giving them a definite shape and making it rigid. Thus, solids do not flow.

Ques.2] Why do liquids easily take the shape of containing vessel, but not he solids?

Ans.] Liquids take on the shape of their container because they contain particles that can slide past each other. Particles in a solid, on the other hand solids don't have slide past that's why they can't take the shape.
