AB = 2x and AC = x^2 + 1

Hence, by using Pythagoras theorem,

BC = x^2 -1

so, sin theta = BC/AC = (x^2-1)/(1+x^2)

and, tan theta = BC/AB = x^2-1/2x

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

make the traingle 1st.

now by using pythagoras find the perpendicular. it come out to be 1 - x^2

now sin(theta) = 1 - x^2 / 1 + x^2

tan (theta) = 1 - x^2 / 2x
