Divisor, g(x) = x - 1

x-1 = 0

x = 1

p(x) = x^4 + 1

p(1) = 1^4 + 1

p(1) = 1 + 1

p(1) = 2

So, if we divide x - 1 from x^4 + 1, we will get remainder 2 with quotient x^3.
