“Society is indeed a contract… it is a partnership in all art, a partnership in all virtue and in all perfection.”
Good morning to all the pretty faces and a very warm and heartiest welcome to all the dignitaries.
Guys! You all must have wondered that I was talking of society as contract. And in this contract, science has big and vital role to play. Now why am I rhyming about science, its because we all have assembled here to celebrate National Science Day. You all must have been celebrating Rose Day, Valentine’s day, Chocolate day, Teddy day in the month of feb… but have you ever celebrated National Science day if not we will do it today. As this was a historic day for India as Great Indian Physicist Sir C.V.Raman marked the vital discovery of the Raman effect on 28 feb. 1928. According to Raman Effect :-change in the wavelength of light occurs when a light beam is deflected by molecules. And for this discovery, Raman was awarded the Nobel prize in Physics in 1930. So with due respect and pride, we Indians celebrate National Science day on 28-2 each year. National Science day is celebrated as one of the main science festivals in India every year during which students of the schools and colleges demonstrates various science projects as well as national and state science institutions demonstrates their latest researches. It is celebrated every year with immense passion. Variety of programs are organized at different levels state, national etc. The main objective of celebrating National Science Day is to widely spread a message about the significance of scientific applications in the daily life of people, to display all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare. To discuss all the issues and implement, new technologies for the development of the science, to give an opportunity to the scientifically innovative minded people of the country, to encourage the youth and juvenescent India to move and work for Indian science optimistically. Every year a particular theme with a particular motto is declared for promoting science. In 1999 the theme was “Our changing earth”.. in 2000 it was “Recreating Interest in Basic Science” followed up by today in 2015 it is “Science for nation building”..
Friends ! it’s the way we use & execute the science and its gadgets.. whether we want it to be our Master or our slave. So, today we all pledge abiding by the theme that we will use science for building nation and not for destruction.
hope my answer helps you!!!

Honourable Judges, Teachers, Guests and all my dear friends. Thank you for allowing me to speak on National Science Day. You know Science Day is celebrated every year on 28th February. But why? What is the aim of Science Day? and What’s our Duty for this nation? Okay
National Science Day is celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm on 28th of February every year to remember the great invention by the Indian physicist Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman of the Raman Effect on the same day in the year 1928. For his great success, he was awarded Nobel Prize in the Physics in the year 1930
National Science Day in 2018 – Sunday, 28th of February.
On this day, all Indian show their Dignity and Respect to the famous Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman to mark the discovery of the Raman effect. National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to remember his discovery and giving an opportunity to the Indian youth.
Let us know about CV Raman in brief. CV Raman was born on 7 November 1888 at Tiruchirapalli (Madras Presidency). His father was a lecturer in Maths and Physics. He was a Tamil Brahmin and first one in the science, who had researched such invention in India. Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman had worked from 1907 to 1933 at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata during which he had researched on many topics of the Physics from which theRaman Effect (effect on scattering of light when passing through different materials) became his great success and discoverywhich has been marked in the Indian history.
Every Year National Science Day has a Theme at which we focus more. Yes, it is overall a national science day, but we do focus on some particular things on every science day. So take a look at the themes of National Science Day of previous ten years.
The last year theme was Science and Technology for the Specially-abled person are standing here for giving more opportunities, more support to the specially abled (they don’t use here disable because every disable person is specially abled in some field) students or and the scientific issues in ordinary people mind is the central aspect of this theme...
thank you...
hope it helpz☺☺☺☺☺☺
