Answer :

Terms with x along with the coefficient of x are as follows :

  • y²x + y = coefficient is y²
  • 13y² - 8yx = coefficient is -8y
  • x + y + 2 = coefficient is 1
  • 5 + z + zx = coefficient is z
  • 1 + x + xy = coefficient is 1
  • 12xy² + 25 = coefficient is 12
  • 7x + xy² = coefficient of x is 7 and 1

More to know : The leading term of a variable is known as it's coefficient for example in 5x the coefficient of x is 5 . In case with no coefficient we say that it has a coefficient of 1 like xy . Here the coefficient of y is x but the coefficient of x is 1 . Similarly if say the Question given is -78y² . Here not only 78 is the coefficient of y² but the coefficient is - 78 . I mean to say that in terms of finding the coefficient the sign too does matters . So be careful while solving such questions
