A cockroach has open circulation, the oxygen and nutrient transporting fluids do not flow through any blood vessels but flow directly within the body. Also, the oxygen is not dissolved in any pigment like haemoglobin but is present in the body fluids.

In humans, the type of circulation is closed circulation in which blood flows trough blood vessels, humans also have the pigment haemoglobin which carries respiratory gases.
