Answer:

Mark it as BRAINLIEST

Explanation:

In China’s constitution and in Chinese leaders’ speeches, a “people’s democratic dictatorship” and “democracy” are invoked as goals.

But this isn’t just any democracy.

Time and again, China has claimed that it doesn’t want to “copy” the political systems of other countries.

Chinese leaders qualify the kind of democracy they’re after as “socialist democracy.” They describe it as a system in which power is centralized in one authority – the Chinese Communist Party – which in turn acts in the interest of the people.

“The Party believes it perfectly represents the will of the people. In this way, the Party understands its role to be a representative of the people and a form of democracy,” Jessica C. Teets, an associate professor in political science at Middlebury College, told Inkstone.

“The problem with this conception of representation is that the people have no way of selecting their ‘true’ representatives,” said Teets.

To understand how China’s “socialist democracy” differs from liberal democracy practiced in many western countries, consider the China Democracy Party – based in Flushing, New York City.

No countries like China, Pakistan and Mexico are not really democratic nations

Explanation:

  • In Pakistan it is more like a hybrid democarcy since the constitution apart from democratic rules also has rules based on the principles of Islam. In the year 1999, Pakistan General Pervez Musharaff had seized and taken control of he then civilian govt, and declared himself as the President by way of a referendum which was based on fraud and malpractices.  Although Pakistan has had elections and the elected representative to the national & provincial assemblies have some power, but the final power rested with the military. The elected representative had no power to take final decisions. This kind of regime is called dictatorship. In a democracy the "final decision-making power" rests with those the people elect.
  • In China, elections are held regularly however only one part keeps winning, which is the Chinese Communist Party. The National People Congress ( Chinese Parliament members) have around 3000 representatives of which the military people too elect some representatives, which implies that the people/citizens do not get to elect all the representatives. Besides, any candidate contesting elections needs permission of the Chinese Communist Party  and only those who are the members of the CCP and  a few smaller parties are allowed to contest elections. hence, the concept of "free elections" which is an important feature of democracy is absent here. So, China cannot be called as a democratic nation
  • Incase of Mexico , since its independence only one party has been consantly winning which is the PRI (Institutional  Revolutionary Party). Though opposition parties contest election, they never got to win. This is because the PRI used several dirty tricks in the election time. Those working for the govt were compelled to attend PRI's party meetings and govt teachers were asked to compel parents to vote for the PRI. Also, during the elction time ballot boxes and polling booth were shifted to different places, making it difficult for the people to caste their vote. Hence, the democratic feature of "fair elections" is absent here. Hence, Mexico cannot be called a democratic nations
