Can you say why electric wireare not made up of silver

Copper wires are much cheaper than silver and silver is also not a good conductor of electricity. So electric wires are not made up of Silver.

Though Silver is a very good conductor of electricity but still that isnot used in electric wiring primarily due to its cost. It's very expensive compared to the widely used wiringmaterial copper. Another reason fornot using Silver is that, it oxidizes easily and tarnishes when it comes in contact with air.
