It is easy just use

{x}^{2}-{y}^{2}={(x+y)}{(x-y)}

 {x}^{2} - 16 \\ = ( {x)}^{2} - ( {4)}^{2} \\ = (x - 4)(x + 4) \\ = > x - 4 = 0 \\ x = 4 \\ = > x + 4 = 0 \\ x = - 4
