Can you solve this choco riddle? You just bought a big bar of chocolate! The bar is eight pieces high and nine pieces long. Can you work out how many times you have to break the bar so that it is separated into individual squares?

I think we have to break the bar 56 times.

Or it can also be seperated in 11 steps, if the chocolate is broken in slides.

I would prefer "56 times" as the answer.

Given that the chocolate bar is 9 pieces long and 8 pieces high.

So we must first find out the total number of pieces in the chocolate,
That is 9 x 8 = 72.

So we'll have to work 71 times to get 72 pieces of the chocolate individually.
