2. Concentration (m by m) = Mass of Common Salt / Mass of Water × 100
Concentration (m by m) = 40/(240+40) ×100
= 40/280 × 100
=100/7
=14.28 %
Concentration of Salt in water (mass by mass)=14.28% (Approx.)
