Let the number of 500 rupees, 100 rupees, and 50 rupees notes are 2x, 3x and 5x respectively.

Gien that the total cash with Ananya = 31000 rupees.

500 * 2x+ 100 * 3x + 50 * 5x= 31000

1000x + 300x + 250x = 31000

1550x = 31000

x = 31000/1550

x = 20.


Therefore the number of 500 rupee notes =  2 * 20 = 40.

                  the number of 100 rupee notes = 3 * 20 = 60

                   the number of 50 rupee notes = 5 * 20 = 100.


Verification:

500 * 2(20) + 100 * 3(20) + 50 * 5(20) = 31000

500 * 40 + 100 * 60 + 50 * 100 = 31000

20000 + 6000 + 5000 = 31000

31000 = 31000.
