As, this is addition so we have to start from the right end. At the right end it is RED . We have to find a number which when added 3 times gives the number itself. So, when we put the value of RED as 5 then it gives the answer 15 whose ones digit is 5. So, RED = 5.

(Remember RED = 5 and the no. we got is 15 , so 1 is carried upon to the other no.)

Now, we have to find WHITE which when added three times gives the answer RED , which is 5. When we put the value of WHITE as 8 , then it gives the answer 24 and when 1 is carried upon , the answer becomes '25' whose last digit is also 5 . So, WHITE = 8.

(Remember WHITE = 8 and the no. we got after adding it up and also adding the carried no. is 25 , so 2 is carried upon to the other no.)

Now, we have to find BLUE which when added three times gives the answer RED , which is 5. When we put the value of BLUE as 1 , then it gives the answer 3 and when 2 is carried upon , the answer becomes '5' . So, BLUE = 1.

THEREFORE,

BLUE = 1

WHITE = 8

RED = 5
