If we store silver nitrate solution in a copper vessel then copper being more reactive than silver displaces silver from it's salt solution which leads tarnishment of our silver vessel.

Because HNO3 is a strong oxidising agent.. so as soon as hydrogen gas is evolved HNO3 oxidized it and H2 convert into water.
