Plants take CO2 from air and water from soil, for the process of photosynthesis. They get some nutrients, minerals.... from water as when water is poured in soil minerals etc.. are dissolved in it so when the water is absorbed by roots it also absorbs minerals. They get rid of excess water and various wastes through stomata, lenticles. They store some solid waste in the form of fruits when they are rippen they will fall off. Before summer starts plants shed their leaves in this way they get rid of some wastes of them.
