Hmm..it depends on the nature of the surface. If the surface is rough (example book) then the light rays will reflect in all directions (irregular reflection)

And if the surface ids smooth( example mirror) , then the light rays will reflect according to the angle if incidence and the angle of reflection will be equal to angle of incidence.
