can you tell me how to do editing ? some said that if you know rules of tenses you can do the editing or is there any rule for editing ? Does editing came in past tense or some other tense ?

There are no certain rules

But here are some things that might help

Make sure the tense remains same(that is the most common error)

Make sure preposition and articles is proper

And make sure you read the passage at least 5 times

it can be in other tense as well. sometimes sentences related to universal truth are also given where you can only use present tense.
