Answer:

                    On Killing a Tree

On Killing a Tree, by GIEVE PATEL eulogizes a tree’s strength. The poet describes a tree’s strength, endurance, and resilience. A tree can only be killed by uprooting it and exposing its sensitive roots to the sun.

Man’s life is quite similar to that of a tree’s. Like a tree man also has to struggle very hard for survival. He receives many cuts from axes, saws or any other sharp objects, but a tree never dies. Similarly, man also faces many adverse situations, sorrows, ordeals, but never gives in.

So, man can learn a lot from a tree.
