can you use a copper wire to make the filament of an electric bulb.why?

Copper is a good conductor but it cant be used because its melting point is pretty low. But the melting point of tungsten, the material used in filament, has a very high melting point and does not melt when current passes through it for a long time.

copper wires have low resistivity and as such copper is generally used for electricity transmission.
