GIVEN :

Length of cuboid = 12cm

• Width of cuboid = 6cm

• Height of cuboid = 6cm

TO FIND :

• Surface of cuboid = ?

DIAGRAM :

\setlength{\unitlength}{6}\begin{picture}(0,0) \put(0,1){\line(0,1){10}}\put(0,1){\line(1,0){20}}\put(20,1){\line(0,1){10}}\put(0,11){\line(1,0){20}}\put(0,11){\line(1,1){5}}\put(20,11){\line(1,1){5}}\put(20,1){\line(1,1){5}}\put(0,1){\line(1,1){5}}\put(5,6){\line(1,0){20}}\put(5,6){\line(0,1){10}}\put(5,16){\line(1,0){20}}\put(25,6){\line(0,1){10}}\put(4.5, - 0.5){$ \tt Length = l $ }\put(11.5,7){$ \tt Height = h$ }\put(21,1){$ \tt Width = w $ }\put(30,10){\framebox{ $ \tt @Ak14380 $ }}\end{picture}

SOLUTION :

 \\ \: \blacktriangleright \: \large{ \boxed{ \bold{Surface \:  \: area \:  \: of \:  \: cuboid = 2(l.w + w.h +h.l) }}} \\

• Now put the values –

 \\  \implies  { \bold{Surface \:  \: area= 2(12 \times 6 + 6 \times 6 +6 \times 12) }} \\

 \\  \implies  { \bold{Surface \:  \: area= 2(72+36+72) }} \\

 \\  \implies  { \bold{Surface \:  \: area= 2(180) }} \\

 \\  \implies \large { \boxed { \bold{Surface \:  \: area= 360 \:  \: cm^{2}}}} \\

IMPORTANT FORMULA :

 \\ \: \blacktriangleright \: \large{ \boxed{ \bold{Surface \:  \: area \:  \: of \:  \: cuboid = 2(l.w + w.h +h.l) }}} \\

 \\ \: \blacktriangleright \: \large{ \boxed{ \bold{Volume \:  \: of \:  \: cuboid = l.w.h }}} \\

✯✯ QUESTION ✯✯

Can you work out the surface area of a cuboid with a length of 12cm, width of 6cm and height of 6cm..

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰

\longmapsto\tt{Length(l)=12cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Breadth(b)=6cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Height(h)=6cm}

Using Formula : -

\longmapsto\tt{\small{\boxed{\bold{\bold{\blue{\sf{Surface\:Area\:of\:Cuboid=2(lb+bh+hl)}}}}}}}

Putting Values : -

\longmapsto\tt{2(12\times{6}+6\times{6}+6\times{12)}}

\longmapsto\tt{2(72+36+72)}

\longmapsto\tt{2(180)}

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{360{cm}^{2}}

So , The Surface Area of Cuboid is 360cm²...
