Tuberculosis is the odd one because it is caused by bacteria and remaining are not.

  • Diabetes generally refers to a group of diseases that occurs due to excessive sugar i.e, glucose. Glucose is important to our health because it's an important source of energy for the cells that make up your muscles and tissues. It is also our brain's main source of fuel.
  • Cancer is caused by mutations to the DNA within cells. The DNA inside a cell is packaged in a large number of individual genes, each of which contains a set of instructions telling the cell what functions to perform, as well as how to grow and divide.
  • Heart diseases are generally caused due to a buildup of fatty plaques in the arteries. Unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as a poor diet, lack of exercise, being overweight and smoking, can lead to heart diseases.

Answer:

The answer is tuberculosis because it is caused by bacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Other diseases including cancer, diabetes, and heart disease are not bacterial diseases. There is one more factor, tuberculosis is a contagious disease however, others are non-contagious.

Explanation:

  • Cancer - It is a life-threatening disease that occurs due to the uncontrollable growth of abnormal cells, and it becomes incurable when the stage of metastasis (abnormal cells spread to other tissues and organs) is reached.
  • Diabetes - It is a chronic health condition, and a metabolic disease caused due to high blood sugar due to an imbalance of pancreatic hormone, insulin.
  • Heart diseases - Include many heart-related problems such as atherosclerosis, atherosclerosis, heart attack, etc.
  • Tuberculosis - It is a bacterial disease caused by the bacterium, Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is a serious infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs.
