=>let the marks Max marks = x
=> according to the question,
(case 1) Pass mark = 20x/100 +30
(case 2) pass mark = 32x/100 - 42
Note :- pass marks be same in the both cases.
=> 20x/100 +30 = 32x/100 - 42
=> 32x/100 - 20x/100 = -42-30
( we are taking 32x/100 to another side and +30 to another side)
=>12x/100 = 12
=>(simplest form)
=>3x/25 =12
=> 3x = 12 X 25
=> 3x = 300
=> x= 300/3
=> x= 100
pass mark = 100 X 20/100 + 30
Passing mark = 50
Required percentage
=50/100 X100
=50%
