CaO ( quick lime) (s) + H2 O (l) ---> Ca (OH) 2 (aq )

Here, The reaction between Quick lime ( CaO ) and water produced Calcium Hydroxide ( CaOH) which is aqueous.

So, Solid state ( CaO ) is transformed into aqueous state [ Ca(OH)2 ].
