Given :-
velocity of car A = 50 m/s
velocity of car B = 25 m/s
mass of car A = 500 kg
mass of car B = 1000 kg
Need to find :-
which car has more momentum.
Procedure :-
Momentum = mass × velocity ( p = m×v )
- momentum of car A = 50 × 500 = 25000 kg•m/s
- momentum of car B = 25 × 1000 = 25000 kg•m/s
Conclusion :-
Both the cars have the same momentum which is 25000 kg•m/s
