car is travelling with a speed of 36km/h. The driver applies the brake and retards the car uniformly. The car is stopped in 5s. Find(1) retardation of the car. (2) distance travelled before it is stopped after applying the brakes.

here v=u-ft,v=0

u=ft

f=u/t=36000/(3600×5)m/sec^2=2m/sec^2

so retardation of the car is 2m/sec^2

distance travelled before it is stop is

u^2/2f=10×10/2×2=25 m
