Average speed = 2(V1V2)/V1+V2

=2×60×40/60+40

=4800/100

=48 km/hr

Answer:

It's average speed is 50 km/hr

Step-by-step explanation: A car moves from a to b at 60 km/hr and comes back from b to a at the speed of 40 km/hr . So, to find it's average speed you have to add both of the speed = 60 + 40

                                                            = 100

then, divide both of them by 2 as the addends are 2 . So the answer comes is 50 .

Therefore , the average speed of the car is 50 . ( Ans )
