Let the time taken by car to complete it's journey = T

S = 30km

u = 60km/h

time ( t1) = S/ub

= 30/60 = 0.5 h

Case 2

s = 30 km

u = 40 km/h

time (t2) = s/u

= 30/40 = 0.75 h

Total time T = t1 + t2

= 0.5 + 0.75 = 1.25 hrs
