AnswEr :
- Average speed is 100km/h.
Given :
• At the first half time, speed of car is 80 km/h.
- Distance(D1) = 80 km × t
• For the second half, speed of car is 120km/h.
- Distance (D2) = 120 km × t
To Find :
• Average velocity(Vavg) = ?
Solution :
Let the time required by each half be t.
★ Total distance covered :
➝ D = D1 + D2
➝ D = 80t + 120t
➝ D = 200t km
★ Total time taken :
➝ T = 2t (As each half's distance is t)
So,
★ Average speed :
➝ Vavg = Total distance /Time taken
➝ Vavg = D / t
➝ Vavg = 200t / 2t
➝ Vavg = 100 km/h
