Answer:

Julius Caesar was a great Roman General. We learn that Caesar was brave, overconfident, arrogant, firm, superstitious, and loved flattery. He was brave as he had won many wars single-handedly. He did not even fear death. He was overconfident as he ignored all the ill omens and his wife, Calpurnia’s pleas to stay at home. His arrogance was visible from the fact that he considered his fellow senators ‘greybeards’. He also compares himself to the ‘northern star’ and his fellow senators to ‘ordinary stars’. His firmness can be judged from the way he did not listen to any of the senators, including Brutus. He did not repeal Publius Cimber’s banishment. His superstitious nature came to light when he sent his servant to the priest to offer sacrifice and know their opinion about his luck on that particular day. His love for flattery was visible when we saw him changing his decision of not going to the Capitol when his wife flattered him. We again saw him change his decision to go to Capitol when Decius Brutus used flattery to encourage him to go to Capitol.
