carbohydrates and fats are respiratory substrates. but their RQ is different. write RQ of these substrates.

respiratory quotient is the ratio of Co2 released to the oxygen consumed

for carbohydrates ,R.Q = 1( CO2 release equal to amount of oxygen consumed)in case of carbohydrates

for fats is less than 1 that is 0.7 which means more seo2 is released than O2 consumed
