i truely dont understsnd ur question bt i have explained ur statement.....
carbon is a versatile element which is found almost everywhere. most of the things in this world are made up of carbon. carbon has atomic no. as 6 .
its mass no. is 12.........according to its electronic configuration its, 92,4) . so carbon needs 4 more element to complete its octate. as carbons valency is 4.
so it can make 4 bods whether it can e single, double or triple bond.
mostly carbon make bonds with hydeogen which is known as Hydrocarbon (hydrogen+ carbon)

Carbon is a chemical element with symbol C and atomic number 6. It is nonmetallic and tetravalent—making four electrons available to form covalent chemical bonds. It belongs to group 14 of the periodic table.
Carbon cannot gain or lose electrons. Carbon cannot for C4-because If it gains 4 electrons, it would be difficult for the nucleus with six protons to hold on to ten electrons, that is, four extra electrons.
Carbon cannot form C4+ because if it loses 4 electrons, it would require a large amount of energy to remove 4 electrons leaving behind a carbon cation with six protons in its nucleus holding on to just 2 electrons.
Carbon overcomes this problem by sharing its valence electrons with other atoms of carbon or with atoms of other elements.
Hope it helps:)
