elecricity is basically moving electrons . carbon has covalent bonds . so there is no movemment of electrons beyond a specific boundry . so carbon compounds are poor conductors of electricity

since carbon formz covalent bondz ionisation doesnt tkz plac ....n intermolecular force of attraction s low so it s poor conductor of heat n electricity.
