Example of haloalkanes i.e carbon compounds formed from C,H,X are chloromethane ( CH3Cl) , bromoethane( CH3CH2Br) , etc.
There are various classes of compounds that contain C,H,O. Some of them are:
Alcohol eg methanol ( CH3OH)
Aldehyde eg formaldeyde ( CH3CHO)
Ketone eg propanone( CH3COCH3)
Carboxylic acid eg acetic acid ( CH3COOH)
