The carbon cycle is the process in which carbon travels from the atmosphere into organisms and the Earth and then back into the atmosphere. Plants take carbondioxide from the air and use it to make food. Animals then eat the food and carbon is stored in their bodies or released as CO2 through respiration.

Answer:

'Carbon cycle' is the process by which the carbon present in the atmosphere, the water, and the biosphere are exchanged between themselves and can sustain their own amount on Earth.

In the 'carbon cycle', the carbon moves to the atmosphere from the release of organisms and also the various processes in Earth and then is again used from the atmosphere by plants and moved on to organisms and Earth.

Plants use 'carbon dioxide' present in the atmosphere to make food and oxygen. Animals and humans 'eat the food and carbon' get stored in their body and through respiration is released into the atmosphere. Therefore the 'amount of carbon' gets sustained.
