Carbon dioxide can be prepared by 2 methods :a) on heating calcium carbonate 11g of carbon dioxide was released. b) on heating methane 22g of carbon dioxide was formed. Prove the laws of definite proportion​

Explanation:

(a) Ratio between Carbon and oxygen produced by heating calcium carbonate

out of 44 gram 12 gram is carbon in carbon dioxide

so 11 gram will have 3 gram carbon and 8 gram oxygen

Ratio=3:8

(b) Ratio between Carbon and oxygen produced by burning of methane

out of 44 gram 12 gram is carbon in carbon dioxide

so 22 gram will have 6 gram carbon and 16 gram oxygen

Ratio=3:8

So the laws of definite proportion​ is proved
