When there is increase in the propportin of carbon dioxide it gets trapped in the earths atmosphere which causes global warming. Due to which there is heat which cause the ice to melt and thereby increase in the sea level . Another example is that, when it rains the rain water get passes through the atmosphere i.e carbon diozide dissolves in it and becomes carbonic acid which is harmful for living organisms.
