first of all what's pollutant?

pollutant is something which has harmful effects in the environment. it might be air or water.

carbondioxide is not a pollutant actually.. we all need carbondioxide. plants need carbondioxide to make their food by the process of photosynthesis. carbondioxide also keeps the Earth warm. we all are inhaling carbondioxide every second.

but it's also harmful if it's level is increased. we mustn't forget that it's one of the greenhouse gas. yes it keeps the Earth warm. but trapping too much radiations and heat can lead to global warming and the weather will be unbearable.

carbondioxide also react with sea and ocean water and it can destroy aquatic habitat.

if we think this way, carbondioxide is a pollutant for the environment.
