Carbon dioxide is considered as toxic to mankind. Explain.​

(i) Being a greenhouse gas, it is actively responsible for increasing Earth's temperature. (ii) In blood, it combines with haemoglobin to form a toxic compound called carboxy haemoglobin which , is lethal to humans. (iii) Too much carbon dioxide can have a negative effect on some food crops
